In the list of 31 self-made women entrepreneurs, six entrepreneurs are professional managers and 25 are the entrepreneurs of the start-up ecosystem depicted in the list. Two of them have built their companies into unicorns – Falguni Nayar of Nykaa and Divya Gokulnath of Byju’s.
And, the Nineteen woman are aged 40 or below, out of them Kanika Tekriwal, Jet set go; Anjana Reddy, Universal Sportsbiz and Vidhi Shanghvi, Sun Pharma are the youngest female entrepreneur on the list.
25% of the women are involved in various fields including textiles, Pharmaceuticals, Apparel & Accessories. Whereas, 9% of shares are from health sectors and 8% from Financial activities.
Mumbai top’s the list with 32 individuals followed by New Delhi (20), Hyderabad (10). Whereas, the 15% of women are from small towns.
Primarily the women are identified with are education and healthcare. Four women are included in India’s list of philanthropies of 2020.
These women are India’s most successful women entrepreneurs. As females are also coming forward for our economy, they are equal contributors like men.
