As we know that Delhi is the center of India and is also considered as the hub of many startups, small and big companies. Delhi-NCR is known as the fastest-growing city in the country, hosting more than 7000 (Delhi-NCR Startups) including 10 big players such as Paytm, Jomato, and Oyo, according to the Zinnov report.
The report state that Delhi-NCR is on the top of the startup’s list in comparison to Bengaluru and Mumbai.
According to the report of “Turbo-charging Delhi-NCR startup ecosystem“, 23 percent of startups belong to Delhi-NCR alone.
According to the report, the number of startups in Delhi-NCR is 7,039, of which 4,491 are from Delhi alone, 1,544 are from Gurugram, and 1004 startups are from Noida.
Bengaluru has 5,234 startups, Mumbai has 3,829 and 1,940 from Hyderabad alone. This list of startups includes all companies that launched in the decades between 2009-2019.
The report also states that Delhi-NCR alone has a total of 10 unicorns between 2009-2019, whereas, Bengaluru has 9 such big players, and 4 from Mumbai and Pune, and one in Chennai.
The report said that Delhi-NCR could be a list of the top 5 unicorns in the world. If we increase the number of startups from 7,000 to 12,000 and unicorn startups to 30.
